I am a research ecologist at the NOAA Southwest Fisheries Science Center (Fisheries Ecology Division). I have a Ph.D. in Ecology, Evolution, and Marine Biology from the Northeastern University Marine Science Center, and a B.S. in Biology from the University of Puget Sound. When I'm not doing science, I enjoy birding, traveling, and cooking. On the side I do art and scientific illustration.
This website includes information about my scientific research, a portfolio of my artwork, and a blog on miscellaneous topics, at least some of which I hope are either interesting, amusing, or useful. In the past, have also contributed to the blogs In the Grass On the Reef and Between Northeastern Tides. I can be contacted at tanya.rogers [at] noaa.gov |
