Research Overview
I am interested, generally, in the intersection of community ecology, population dynamics, and biogeography: How and why do species interactions, population fluctuations, and responses to the environment vary across space and time, across scales, and across systems? In addition, how might these dynamics be affected by environmental change, species losses, and species introductions? I am interested in combining empirical and quantitative approaches to yield results that are both ecologically insightful and applicable to conservation and management. I have worked mainly in marine and coastal systems.
